medical illustration of Exosomes are vesicles of a very small in size, around 100 nanometers, and they secreted by many different types of cells in the body. They can be isolated from body fluids, such as urine, serum, saliva, cerebrospinal fluid, All body fluids have these exosomes and are highly sensitive for diagnostics and the development of new therapy tools.

medical illustration of Macrophages are cells that belong to the innate immune system. Macrophages are among the first to respond when there is an infection. But are macrophages capable of differentiating between pathogenic microorganisms and microorganisms that are not harmful to humans?
medical illustration of Immunotherapy refers to the set of treatment strategies to stimulate or replenish the immune system against cancer, infections or other diseases as well as to lessen the side effects of very aggressive treatments used against cancer.

medical illustration of 3D illustration of the structure of a protein called Ubiquilin-1 (UBQLN1).
They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases, and thus are thought to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to effect in vivo protein degradation.
Ubiquilin has also been shown to modulate accumulation of presenilin proteins, and is found in lesions associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

medical illustration of Subcutaneous fat is normally harmless and may even protect against some diseases. Visceral fat is fat that surrounds the organs. Though it is not visible from the outside, it is associated with numerous diseases.
medical illustration of Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. If you strain your plantar fascia, it gets weak, swollen, and irritated (inflamed). Then your heel or the bottom of your foot hurts when you stand or walk.

medical illustration of How does caffeine work in our body?
After drinking a cup of coffee, its caffeine reaches the digestive tract where it is quickly absorbed. It then passes to the liver, where it is metabolized, passes into the blood, and reaches the brain. In the brain, it tricks the receptors of neurons and takes the place of adenosine, since they have similar structures, thus blocking the relaxing effects of this last molecule.
medical illustration of Present illustration shows how a mosquito introduces its proboscis to take blood from our bloodvessels. We can see a cut of our skin: subcutis/hypodermis, dermis and epidermis.
medical illustration of Detail of the human ear anatomy, that consists of three parts: the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. The outer ear includes the pinna and the ear canal. The middle ear is separated from the outer ear by the eardrum or tympanic membrane, and it is composed by three little bones: malleus, incus and the stapes. The inner ear contains the cochlea and the semicircular canals.

The image also has a detail of the damaged hairs inside cochlea (hairs of the organ of corti).

A total score of 8 or more is considered abnormal for an adult white woman; a score of 36 is the most severe.
medical illustration of A lingual arch appliance is an orthodontic tool which amends the mandibular jaw and Class II malocclusions. This particular device is attached to two primary molars of both the upper arch and bottom arch. Today, the device is among the most popular and helps treat orthodontic issues of various sorts.
medical illustration of Palatal expanders are devices that allow the palate to be widened orthopedically during growth. This orthopedic response is also called palatal disjunction or RPE (
medical illustration of These devices maintain and increase the space of the arches, favoring an adequate dentoalveolar development, controlling and correcting the molar rotations, by means of the pressure exerted by the lips on them, achieving a distal movement of the molars.
medical illustration of Dental braces (also known as braces, orthodontic cases, or cases) are devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth and help position them with regard to a person's bite, while also aiming to improve dental health.
medical illustration of Orthodontic headgear is a type of orthodontic appliance typically attached to the patient's head with a strap or number of straps around the patient’s head or neck. From this, a force is transferred to the mouth / jaw(s) of the subject.

We were commissioned to make an exhibition on Science and Technology around the Bilbao estuary. We made 10 infographics on different topics: history, mining, biology, ecology, geology, technology, sanitation, conservation, architecture. The exhibition has been exposed from December to March 2020 in different metro stations in Bilbao, Spain.
medical illustration of In this infographic we show the main important point of the story of the stuary of Bilbao.
medical illustration of Industrialization and the absence of sewage treatment in many cities cause worrying levels of pollution. This was also the case in Bilbao. The Bilbao sanitation plan was launched in 1980 and allowed the estuary to become healthy.

medical illustration of Chemistry is the science that studies the elements that make up matter. The periodic table illustrates the 118 chemical elements that are known today. In 1783, the Elhuyar Brothers (illustrated in the infographic) managed to isolate for the first time the wolfram. The discovery of this new metallic element, contributed to the advancement of modern science and technology. Undoubtedly, this fact is the largest and most universal contribution made in the scientific field of
Basque Country.

He lives in rivers and streams with riversides covered with vegetation, where he finds

refuge and food: fish, amphibians, crabs and small mammals.

If the current trend continues, this mammal will become extinct in no time. The IUCN Red List has classified it as

87.5% of flowering plants are pollinated thanks to animals, insects being the most important animals. We are not just talking about domestic bee; we talk about 597,000 species.
Studying its decline is extremely complex.
There are many, there are no historical records and the causes are multiple. Studies indicate a steep decline, although there is evidence pointing to a possible deceleration.
