Profile

Mica Duran is a Board Certified Medical Illustrator, highly qualified in the fields of medical illustration, scientific illustration and graphic design. She is a professional member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and a member of the Illustrator’s Partnership of America. She is an active member of the Artist Rights’ Committee. Clients run the gamut from large biotech firms to local surgeons. Her work has been featured in medical journals such as Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Cancer Research, and American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In addition, her work is often utilized by medical malpractice attorneys to defend multi-million dollar suits. Mica Duran graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 with Bachelor of Fine Arts Degrees in Graphic Design and Scientific Illustration. She received a Master of Science degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000. She is married and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
