A scientifically accurate high end 3D animation of a blood clot formation. A blood clot involves aggregated platelets and red blood cells that form a plug, and a dense mesh of cross-linked fibrin protein. While clotting is an essential process that prevents excessive bleeding, by forming a scab, blood clots that occur within arteries or veins can be life threatening, if they block the blood flow to vital organs, such as the heart, lungs, and brain.
