The interior part of the long bone is the medullary cavity with the inner core of the bone cavity being composed of yellow marrow. This image was used in patient education materials.
Next medical illustration of Occipital Nerve Stimulation (ONS) therapy consists of applying mild electrical stimulation to the nerves via wires implanted just under the skin, near the occipital nerves at the base of the head. The wires are connected to an implanted battery that generates the stimulation, which interferes with pain signals and may evoke the sensation of tingling or paresthesia. This illustration was created as a 3D image with 2D illustration enhancements.
