Normally, the immune system is able to recognise neoantigen peptides on the surface of cancer cells. But in many lung cancers about half of the HLA proteins that present these neoantigens are missing, which makes it more difficult for the immune system to track cancer.

The illustration was created for biological-mesh manufacturer ACell, as part of a series of images in a printed booklet to teach surgical technique for placement of their product in anterior vaginal wall prolapse repair. The representative page shows the suture placement steps utilized to fold the mesh into its proper shape and location.
These are some of the natural science watercolor illustrations I completed for the interpretation panels to be erected at a new nature reserve. The species list covered mammals, beetles, trees, grasses, fungi, and birds; all wild species to be found on the new reserve.

Copper isotopes behave differently in near-surface environments than in non-weathering environments found deeper in the earth. By sampling copper isotopes (63 and 65) in metal artifacts from Copper and Bronze Age Serbia, Dr. Mathur and his colleagues discovered the approximate time that people of this region were introduced to shaft mining, a technique already in practice in the middle east.

The BeBopBrain platform was commissioned by Dr. Topun Austin from the Evelyn Perinatal Imaging Centre (EPIC) at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge.
The 3D model of the brain was created from infant ultrasound data converted into a 3D surface, rendered in Zbrush and Blender and assembled onto CSIX's own platform software developed by Mr. Nils Schaetti.

A series of animations created for the BC Health Authority to educate parents of newly diagnosed children with various hearing pathologies. Videos also include live footage featuring actual families and hearing simulations.
We created an animation to introduce a new type of heart monitor that is smaller, more comfortable, water resistant, and best of all, captures and records a better cardiac wave signal. It was created for patients and doctors, and shows the benefits and application procedure.

This graft depicts a unique proximal end that allows the blood to swirl and reduces complications. This is part of a series.
The assignment was to create cover art that incorporated different factors that could result in PTSD, as discussed in the manuscript. Photographs I had taken were combined and edited in Photoshop with public domain images. I.e. The child was photographed in his father's arms and then placed into a photo taken of the fireman, and the background added. Once the composite was approved, outlines, shadows, and highlights were added to create the final effect.
During the month of October, I fulfill many requests for illustrations that help women understand breast cancer. I am very proud of the work I have done, and continue to do for breastcancer.org
I was commissioned to design a display booth for an upcoming conference, on the effects of alcohol on the developing brain, women, and the body in general. This the third of three concepts. These will potentially incorporate holograms, and interactive activities.
We just completed a small project featuring spot color illustrations of female anatomy and behavior.
Pseudobulbar Affect is characterized by uncontrollable crying or laughing at inappropriate moments. Depicted is crying woman, CYP2D6 pathway in brain and CYP2D6 structures (pink clusters). Quinidine and Dextromethorphan, found in FDA approved drug Nuedextra, are flying in from left and targeting CYP2D6.
