Profile

I am a Certified Medical Illustrator and Professional member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Located in Chardon, Ohio, just east of Cleveland and surrounded by world class health care institutions. As an experienced medical and scientific illustrator, I understand the importance of accuracy and detail in my work. I strive to offer the best in medical illustration services. From surgical procedures to biological processes, I have the expertise and experience to create stunning visual aids. My illustrations can be found in various publications and presentations, showcasing both human, biological and veterinary anatomical content. I have worked with and within major medical facilities, academic institutions, publishing companies, periodical publishing, researchers and museums. Depending on the audience and the client’s needs and budget, I can create styles ranging from simple line or spot color illustrations for diagrams, patient education pamphlets or PowerPoint presentations to publications and complex surgical procedure plates for medical atlases or books. I also have an interest in veterinary medicine and have veterinary illustrations published in equestrian magazines. I have an MFA in medical illustration coupled with the knowledge and experience necessary to create accurate and visually appealing images to communicate complex medical concepts. I work closely with my clients to ensure that the final product meets their needs, within their budget, on time and exceeds their expectations. When not illustrating I can be found teaching as an Associate Professor in the Life Sciences Illustration department at the Cleveland Institute of Art (my alma mater).
