Francis Boncales

Profile

Francis Boncales is a Filipino-American illustrator and visual development artist living in Los Angeles, CA. He studied illustration at The Rhode Island School of Design and has worked on various animated projects for studios such as Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Netflix and Disney. Some of his credits are Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai, SCOOB, Green Eggs And Ham, Back To The Outback, and Playdate With Winnie The Pooh. Outside of work, you can find Francis landscape painting on hiking trails, sketching at coffee shops or exploring new places with his wife. He has a deep passion for color and light and gathers inspiration from Impressionist painters, picture books, moving pictures, travel, nostalgia and seemingly mundane moments.
