Here you see a tree branch of Acer rubrum (Red Maple) with seed pods in its fall aspect. The illustration was used for notecards contracted by and was sold at a country store on the occasion of a bridge opening in foliage season. It would be suitable for books, such as field guides, articles in trade magazines, field guides, and other environmental education materials . It is rendered in transparent watercolor.
