Stereum hirsutum

Next medical illustration of Suillius grevillei, larch, sticky cap, yellow ring Suillius grevillei is a European species of mushroom which occurs also in North America in association with larch trees. Its is shown here with its sticky cap reddish brown. It has a distinctive yellow ring around its stem, and as with other Suillius species, is adorned with reddish brown dots and striping along is stalk. It was painted in transparent watercolors on Arches paper for a project with a private client.
