Suillus punctipes, bolete, mushroom, convex, yellow cap, white pine, range Suillus punctipes is a common bolete mushroom with a very convex, yellow cap and brownish dots clumping together on the stalk. It grows in association with white pine and hence, occurs in the range of that tree. It is shown here in three different aspects and was painted for a project with a private client with transparent watercolors on Arches paper.
