Fiber Chemistry

Next medical animation of Follow us on our journey through the outer layers of a bone, arriving at the bone marrow where we can witness the creation of a brand new red blood cell. A process called thrombopoiesis where a hematopoietic stem cells turns into a thrombocyte over various sub steps.

Myelofibrosis is one of the rarer type of blood cancer where scar tissue, called "fibrosis" is building up inside the bone marrow. As the scar tissue is taking away increasingly more space the bone marrow can not make enough healthy blood cells anymore. In this shot we illustrated this mechanism for a MoA animation for a drug counteracting this.
