Using a tiny network of mirrors beneath the cancer slide, a researcher can choose to reflect light only on a particular type of tissue. Light-activated RNA oligos are then cleaved and sucked into a small tube above the tissue sample. This novel technique gives the researcher both morphological and genetic data from the same reusable sample.

In the client's proposed mechanism shown here, their novel Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) device material is slowly resorbed by the body at the same rate that new bone is deposited by osteoblasts. The resulting cervical vertebral fusion is entirely composed of the patient's newly-generated bone.
