The human Imunodeficient virus (HIV) causes AIDS. Scientists have discovered a highly conserved portion of the virus epitope. Although the HIV virus is highly mutable, this portion of the virus is unchanging. Antibodies to this portion of the virus can neutralize other mutated strains of HIV.
