Fly into a cell nucleus as it starts to divide. The genomic information that is stored in chromosomes must be replicated, and the duplicated genome must be separated cleanly between cells. During mitosis the pairs of chromatids condense and attach to fibers that pull the sister chromatids to opposite sides of the cell. The cell then divides in cytokinesis, to produce two identical daughter cells.

We created this series of scientific animations in partnership with Fabian de Kok-Mercado at HHMI BioInteractive to explain SARS-CoV-2 biology infection, evolution and testing to a lay audience. We developed a 2D watercolour look for the 3D SARS-CoV-2 virus models using Artineering's MNPRX non-photorealistic renderer (NPR). The stylistic treatment of the characters softens the high-science content, making it more approachable for a general audience. By top medical animation company, AXS Studio

Omega’s groundbreaking platform of epigenomic programming and precision gene control focuses on the insulated genomic domain (IGD), a relatively unfamiliar biological structure. By showing where they’re located, and how different types of disruptions in them can contribute to the gene under/overexpression and thus disease, this animation presents Omega’s ability to map and identify specific IGD targets computationally and create Omega Epigenomic Controllers to potentially restore IGD structures.

This medical device animation introduces cardiac surgeons and other stakeholders to the HeartWare System ventricular assist device, its use and key technological advantages. It was important to clearly illustrate the pump’s proprietary suspension system, which eliminates wear. To focus viewer attention, we rendered the system and heart photorealistically and used a simpler illustrative style for supporting elements, including operation and maintenance of the system.
