Profile

Lucia is a professional graphic designer and illustrator with over 20 years of experience. Her passion for science, meticulous nature, curiosity, and fascination for learning and understanding complex information led her to pursue a career as a scientific illustrator, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Natural History Illustration in 2018. As a Latin-American woman and a scientific illustrator from Colombia, she is deeply committed to promoting diversity and representation within the medical illustration community. Her unique background and experiences make her a great collaborator. Those who get to know her think she is integral, easy-going, and with a can-do attitude. She is a problem solver who works under diverse circumstances and always strives to find better, more efficient ways to do things and run processes. She helps diverse organizations that want to communicate complex ideas or scientific concepts to professionals in the field and the general public by efficiently developing effective illustrations and visuals.
