Of Catastrophes and Rescues: Making the Invisible

Next medical animation of In this video, we show you some of the volume rendering techniques we have implemented over the years in Marion, our scientific visualization library. We put the video together using our real-time composition library Vj.

Nanographics Volume Rendering

We made an illustration of a life-cycle of a virus. It shows how the proteins of the viral envelope interact with the proteins of the cell membrane to allow the virion to enter the cell. But how to show proteins, virions, and cells, whose sizes are orders of magnitude apart, in a single picture? We made this video to give a little insight into our thought process when creating the illustration.
