The image was designed to show the unique cobalt chromium structure and design of the stent, as well as the exceptional flexibilty and conformity of the stent architecture. The drug, Sirolimus, is released from dozens of fully biodegradable polymer wells which dissolve to leave behind a strictly bare metal stent with thin flexible struts.
