Brimonidine is a drug used to treat open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Illustration shows its molecular mode of action. Essentially the synthesis of aqueous humor is decreased, and the amount of aqueous humor that drains from the eye through uveoscleral outflow is increased.
