Napabucasin Chemotherapeutics

Next Image Title

Artist Name

Chemotherapeutics research. ROS, free radical. Containing oxygen, it is an unstable molecule that easily reacts with other molecules in a cell. A build up of reactive oxygen species in cells may cause damage to DNA, RNA, and proteins, and may cause cell death. Napabucasin is a STAT3 inhibitor that blocks stem cell activity. As a cancer therapy Napabucasin causes increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) which results in cancer cell death.

medical illustration of Primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) is a rare and severe disease caused by a single-celled amoeba called Naegleria fowleri, which infects individuals when swimming in fresh water streams, lakes, and ponds. The amoeba travels via the nasal passages, comes in contact with nerve endings causing inflammation and destruction of the brain and the linings of the brain. Amoebic meningoencephalitis is usually fatal.
medical illustration of Heart failure can be classified as left-sided or right-sided, depending on whether systemic or pulmonary circulation is the cause, or which chambers are affected. Left-sided heart failure typically leads to right-sided heart failure. The term ‘heart failure’ usually refers to left-sided heart failure. Left ventricle, reduced ejection fraction, LVEF, diastolic, systolic, blood, pulmonary veins, biventricular
medical illustration of PROTAC stands for proteolysis-targeting chimera. A PROTAC is composed of two or three molecules and is used to induce targeted proteolysis. The use of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) is a new technology utilizing a intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome for removal of unwanted proteins. It is valuable in cancer therapies. medical illustration of Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the bone that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell in the marrow. Healthy plasma cells help you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs. In multiple myeloma, cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells compromising immunity.
medical illustration of Eosinophilic inflammation involves eosinophil recruitment and activation and enables eosinophils to infiltrate patients' tissue to drive and worsen disease and in this case, respiratory. This diagram shows the cells involved and most importantly the first step in the process: secretion of Thymic Stromal Lithopoeitin (TSLP) by epithelial cells in response to an irritant.
